Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board (PSSSB) has released the official PSSSB Recruitment 2025 Notification for 159 vacancies including Hostel Superintendent-cum-PTI, Storekeeper, Librarian, Autoclave/Machine Operator, Junior Technician (Civil/Electrical). Mandatory Punjabi Language Requirement
All posts require knowledge of Punjabi up to Matriculation level. Candidates must have passed Matric with Punjabi or an equivalent exam. A qualifying Punjabi language test (Matric level) with at least 50% marks may also be required for Group-C posts.
Eligibility – Post Specific
Hostel Superintendent-cum-PTI
- Matric (Second Division) or 10+2
- Certificate in Physical Education (C.P.Ed). Preference: Diploma in Physical Education
- Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience
Storekeeper
- Matric (Second Class) or 10+2
- National Trade Certificate / National Apprenticeship Certificate in any Engineering Trade
- Minimum 1 year storekeeping experience
Librarian
- Option A: Bachelor in Library & Information Science + 1 year practical experience
- Option B: B.A./B.Sc + Diploma in Library Science + 3 years practical experience
Autoclave Operator / Machine Operator
- Matric or 10+2 + 2-year ITI certificate in Mechanical trade
- Preference: Experience with sterilizer / steam or electric heaters
Junior Technician (Civil)
- National Trade Certificate in Civil Draftsman trade OR Diploma in Civil Engineering with 50% marks
Junior Technician (Electrical)
- National Trade Certificate in Electrician trade OR Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 50% marks
Age Relaxation & Categories
- General: 18–37 years (as on 01-01-2025)
- SC/BC of Punjab: Upper age limit up to 42 years
- Punjab & Central Govt Employees: Upper age relaxation up to 45 years
- Ex-Servicemen: As per Punjab Recruitment of Ex-servicemen Rules, 1982 (age effectively reduced by service years)
- Widows / Divorcees / Certain married women categories: Upper age relaxation up to 40 years

Selection Process
Selection is through an Objective (MCQ) written examination conducted by PSSSB. Merit list is prepared on exam marks. Tie-breaking order: (1) Older age, (2) Higher educational percentage, (3) Higher Matric marks. Shortlisted candidates called for counselling & document verification. Final recommendation made to concerned departments. Presence in merit list does not guarantee appointment unless eligibility is verified at counselling.
How to Apply (Step-by-Step)
- Visit: sssb.punjab.gov.in → Online Applications from 05/12/2025.
- Register to generate username & password; then log in to fill the form.
- Upload passport-size photo, signature and required documents in a single PDF (Matric DOB proof, technical qualification, category certificate, etc.).
- Pay application fee online or via SBI challan (fee payment available until 30/12/2025).
- Download final application after successful payment and keep a copy for future reference.
- No offline forms or late submissions will be accepted; limited edits may be allowed before final submit.

- Reservation benefits apply only to Punjab residents. Domicile certificate (not older than 5 years) is mandatory to claim reserved category benefits.
- SC/BC/ESM/EWS certificates must follow latest Punjab Government formats. Select category codes carefully while applying.
- Original documents required during counselling; failure to produce them will lead to cancellation.
- No TA/DA for examination or counselling. All official communication (admit card, result, merit list) will be published only on the PSSSB website.
- PSSSB reserves the right to modify or cancel the recruitment notification or correct errors. Decisions on eligibility & selection by PSSSB are final.
